About Us
Lagos Christian Church began meeting on 30th March 2025 in response to the growing need for a traditional, evangelical church offering an English-only worship service.
Our congregation comprises Christians from Europe, North America, Scandinavia, South Africa, England, and Portugal.
We share a common love for Christ and fellow believers.
Meet Our
Pastor Clinton Donnelly
Clinton Donnelly founded Lagos Christian Church to address the spiritual needs of the English-speaking community around Lagos, most of whom are ex-pats.
Clinton has lived in Portugal since 2021. Before that, he lived in Spain, Italy, Panama, and the USA. He has an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, an advanced law degree (LLM) in International Financial Regulation and studied at Liberty University.
He is an Enrolled Agent and Fellow of the National Tax Practice Institute. He is a leading national expert in the U.S. income taxation and audit defense for digital assets investors. He has clients in 61 countries.
He is the author of seven books on tax law. He and his wife, Linda, have five children living in the USA and Canada.

We believe the words of the Bible are inspired by God and without error.
It is the only rule to direct us to glorify and enjoy him.
The Trinity
The Father
God the Father created all things, including man, out of nothing by the power of his word.
God continues to sustain his creation through his most holy, wise, and powerful, preserving and governing all his creatures and all their actions
The Son
Jesus, the Son of God, became man by taking to himself a true body and a reasonable soul, being conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit in the womb of the Virgin Mary and born of her, yet without sin
The Holy Spirit
The Holy glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ.

He convicts unbelievers of their need for Christ and imparts spiritual life through regeneration (the new birth).
The Spirit permanently indwells, graciously sanctifies, lovingly leads,and empowers all who are brought to faith in Christ so they might live in obedience to the inerrant Scriptures
Salvation
We believe that Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for our sins.

We believe salvation is only found by placing our faith in His death and resurrection
Our relationship with God
We are called to renew our minds by growing in our relationship with Jesus by obeying God's Word, being filled with the Holy Spirit, and conforming to the image of Christ.
